Myriam Gorospe

Dr. Myriam Gorospe earned her Ph.D. degree in Molecular and Developmental Biology from the State University of New York at Albany in 1993. She then joined the National Institute on Aging (NIA) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for post-doctoral training, was promoted to Principal Investigator and head of the RNA Regulation Section in 1998, and became Chief of the Laboratory of Genetics in 2014. Her group investigates post-transcriptional processes regulated by RNA-binding proteins and noncoding RNAs that govern the normal physiologic decline of aging as well as age-associated pathologies.
